<p>I look at coincidences like that this way... you two were American citizens right? This breaks down the total people to like 250 million... You then take the people who have the money to go on vacations to Hawaii and and it's probably on par with like 50 million... </p>
<p>Then here comes the subjective part... you've got two kids who befriended each other... not saying your the exact same as him, but are probably similar... This probably translates to you having similar families (ex. alike thinking parents)... From that you then take the likelihood of similar families choosing similar travel destinations... Then from that you take the likelihood of those simliar families coming from the same region...</p>
