@Cestlavie1919 Nope, that’s not mandatory! That area of the common app is mostly if you have any unique situations/concerns/explanations that you need to explain that aren’t on your common app. If you don’t have anything pressing to add, then it’s totally okay to leave it blank.
I got an email that said thank you for submitting your application to Johns Hopkins the day after I submitted my application (submitted January 3)
And I live in California
@hsalem32@swimfast11 If the SAT2 score is going to help your case (say, 750+), you should submit it. Otherwise, IMHO, it would be to your advantage not to send in the sub-700 score, especially at a competitive school like Hopkins. Obviously, you need to have other strong credentials to carry your application forward.
@swimfast11 Hopkins’ Admissions website indicates that the absence of SAT 2 scores does not negatively impact the applicant. I take it to mean that you are not going to lose “points” for not sending a decent second score, but you are not going to get any “bonus points” either for that missing score. Hopefully, you get to balance that with other “point-worthy” accomplishments that you have reported in your application.
Like you, my D only submitted one SAT 2 score, Math II.
Did anyone here request an interview? I’m wondering if it’s worth it to request one or not! (Will it actually help boost your application if the interview is request-only?)
