Johns Hopkins Class of 2020 RD Forum

I was not offered an interview @Mauriciog

@meowmeowwww ohh that’s a relief… i was looking thru last’s yr’s results thread and some people seemed to have sent in additional recs and materials so i was wondering if we’d been allowed to do that

so nervous!!!

Dammit, last year 8% acceptance rate for internationals

Isn’t the acceptance rate for everyone only like 12%? Goodbye JHU…

One hour. Everyone keep in mind, if you didn’t get in, don’t take it personally, and try not to get too down about it. I know all of you will get into a great school, and you will be happy.

1 hour left!!!

@inshm2016 8 percent ? For real? Heart attack in one …two … Three minutes.

I am all but certain I’m getting denied. We live in the day and age where straight A’s, a 2200+ sat, and perfect subject tests just aren’t anything special.

@leobabytiger really? in CommonApp, we can only send two recs. Maybe they send additional via email? anyway, don’t worry about those additional ones, dude. we’ve done our best!

@imenkh I think it’s around 12 % for all students. Anyway, good luck guys. I’m just trying not to think about it.

THE TIME HAS COMMEEE.

Only an hour left. GAHHHLDFJSDLKJF:

I’m getting really nervous. I tried so hard all day not to think about it, but it just hit me now as it is less than an hour away and I just got the email about checking it at 3 PM EST

@inshm2016 8 percent for international? well, so that must be about 4 or 5 percent for international who apply for financial aid :(( cry out loud

Didn’t get the email! Knew I never had anyway just didnt wanna find out this way

By the way guys, how does this need aware policy work? Do they reject anyone who wants financial aid or do they admit him/her but tell them u have to pay?

8% is well … HQIEGNWDWVGPWDMQBDW

@inshm2016 not sure about for hopkins (since they’re need blind for domestic applicants), but a lot of need aware schools don’t take it into consideration for most applicants. it is only when it comes down to the final few that they’re deciding whether to take or not.

11:11 where I’m at! Crossing my finger and praying for a good result today! For all of us

@tel123 Thank you!
