@polkmn Rio de Janeiro. You?

International Biomedical Engineering applicant here! :smiley: I am Greek and graduated from high school in Germany

what are your stats?

also is engineering hard to get in since it is not an engineering school

Anyone know what type of mail carrier they use to send out notification letters? Ups/usps/ fedex?

@slamai illinois! where are you from?

@yeah123yeah

ACT: 32 (E (32), M (33), R (29), S (32)
SAT II: Chemistry (770) and Maths (720)
I studied in a british school so I don’t have AP classes or a GPA. I did the IB.
My IB predicted is 45/45.
Top 10% of my class.
Im indian but I’ve lived in many countries like Vietnam, Doha, Tanzania, India, Brazil and UAE.
For ECs, I am an artist and Ive won several local and national competitions and had my work exhibited in Sotheby. I was in charge of a painting project for community service…and other stuff.

My theory is that it should not be AS competitive for engineering compared to medicine. My college counsellor told me that it is favourable for girls since they are trying to balance the male: female ratio.

@yeah123yeah Last year, Hopkins Engineering admit rate was below 15%. See:

@rkn0706 @Emotive i got into georgia tech 2 days ago for engineering since its a top school in engineering do you guys think that i have a chance in jh engineering

@yeah123yeah GT has a bigger engineering program than Hopkins, about 4x. I suspect, Hopkins is more selective though not necessarily a “better” engineering school. Do you have a chance? yes. How much of a chance? I can’t tell. We will know in a few days. Hoping for good news for everyone.

Are decisions released on the portal?

@yeah123yeah OF COURSE. Congratulations! I got waitlisted at Georgia Tech -_-.
