Ok so this may sound pathetic, but how do I join the "UF '14" network on Facebook?
We don't have our UF e-mail yet, do we?

ok just kidding. after searching the internet, i found another CC thread involving this issue.

what you have to do is:
(1) log on to gatorlink.ufl.edu. there, set up e-mail forwarding to your favorite non-UF e-mail service.

(2) wait like a day. then go to Facebook, click account–>account settings. click the networks tab on the top. Then join the UF network. Your UF e-mail address is your gatorlink user name followed by @ufl.edu (ex. UF2014@ufl.edu).

(3) the message should eventually show up in your inbox. if it doesn’t work, give the forwarding some more time. also try resending the email through Facebook.

voila! you’ve joined the UF network!

I don’t really recall back that far, but if you have a working gatorlink name and password, you can probably log in directly to http://webmail.ufl.edu

when you do that it says you don’t have a mailbox. i think we activate those during preview prep or whatever, but this is just a loophole that allows you to access your mail.
