I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what they think about the journalism program at American University. It has a great reputation, but when I went on a campus tour, my tour guide didn’t know too much about the communication department. I’d like a first-hand opinion. I really loved AU (especially the emphasis on diversity and the great location!) and am really interested in applying there this fall. The not-so-hot part would be the price tag, though…any info about merit scholarships would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks soo much! :)

considering many reknowned journalists were alumni, I would consider that it has a great education

Internships? Yes. Even most of the film people are doing political documentaries.

I hear that their communications school is very good. Glad to see that there's another journalism major in the bunch.

I think it's pretty awesome that you guys get the New York Times delivered to your dorms for free. And Napster.

Well, for more like $10,000 a year. But still, it's pretty cool :)

..yeah, this was off-topic..

And they have a internet enabled laundry system (E-Suds) that text messages your phone when your laundry is ready or when machines are open to use.
