<p>With the space program gone, how is the JPLab feeling the effects? Is there less money coming into CalTech now?</p>
<p>Huh? All they did was retire the space shuttle fleet, which JPL wasn’t directly involved with (as in, JPL was not involved with the maintenance and operation of the space shuttle fleet). Last I checked Congress didn’t disband NASA, so I don’t think much of anything happened to JPL or Caltech’s funding. However, I would keep on eye on Congress to see what budget cuts they recommend in the coming months. Try reading the following websites for more info:</p>

<p>JPL’s actually doing significantly better because they’ve always focused on unmanned missions, and that’s all that the US will be flying for the next bunch of years. They actually had a launch less than a week ago.</p>
