Judge my schedule?

Hello! I have seen these threads in parts, asking the rigor of their classes. How would mine look?

10th grade (last year):
AP US History
AP Calculus BC

11th grade:
AP Environmental Science
AP German
AP US/Comparative Government
AP French
AP Literature
AP Language
AP Sleeping

AP Sleeping…haha. Taking Calc BC as a sophmore looks very impressive, but you should take a more rigorous AP science class (Bio, Chem, Physics) for your junior year instead of AP Environment Science. It might look better on college apps. I haven’t taken APES but from what I’ve heard, it’s more of a “fluff” class. Everything else looks great though.

Wait… you’re taking both AP English classes in the same year?

Just saying… even on CC that is completely unheard of, and pretty redundant IMO.

Yet another reason for why I’m p.oed at my school. Apparently we offer 14 APs (more like 12 but O.K.) and it’s normally exclusive for 11th and 12th grade. Try to cram in APs when you only have a maximum of 6 class periods a day, with double labs for the AP sciences. Yeah right.

My school is the same way, Carin, with the exception of several electives or unique situations. For instance, when I came, I took AP World freshman year, which is normally a sophomore course. A girl with a similar situation took an AP course earlier than intended, too.

Ah, enwenw16, you are correct, although it’s a pity that the lab portion of AP Chemistry (my favorite science field) would take away from AP Sleeping. And you know how rigorous THAT is!^^

Been seeing a lot of threads on rigor of schedules lately. If you are taking 3 or more APs in a year, your schedule can be considered rigorous. If when you apply to colleges, and you are expected to graduate having taken 7+ APs, you are an impressive applicant.

10th grade - usually how many most motivated ap students take. Calculus BC and APUSH makes u stand out from the rest.

11th grade - don’t know about ap environmental science, but i agree with the people’s responses. u should take ap chem, physics, or bio. two ap foreign language class is pretty rare on a transcript in my perspective. taking two ap english classes is also unheard of too, which makes ur transcript more impressive.

i suggest you take out both AP English (way to much work!). self study ap psychology and ap statistics instead. AP english is so pointless unless that will be your major.

APES is definitely not a fluff class. IMO, it’s one of the harder AP’s (but then again, this could just be my school/teacher)

You are right; it depends on the school. R-KATT, I hear that AP Stat is a simple class, although a friend of mine who’s interested in math and the like said it’s the most difficult class he’s ever taken.

Haha I wish there was AP Sleeping.

But anyway, It’s a really good schedule, but it is strange to do both AP English exams
