What tips would you give me to do the day before my SAT. I have studied thoroughly, and feel ready, yet I want to assure that I have the best day before the test. What do you suggest?

Well, I haven't studied and would also love some tips.

^Ditto. Especially need tips on the writing/essay + CR sections. and Math. XDDDD

The best advice at this stage is : Don't Panic! :) Good luck to everyone taking the test :)

LOL! My advice would be to write about things you know! Don't try to recall something you learned in 9th grade about Martin Luther King Jr. if you really don't know much except that he made 'some speech' in 'some place' at 'some time'.

I wrote about things that really interested me so I had lots of backing and evidence. I did this for the January SAT and got an 11. I can talk for HOURS about Chairman Mao/Great Leap Forward/Great Famine/Cultural Revolution/Communism vs. Capitalism in Present day China/Influence of Chinese politics on contemporary chinese art... HAHAHA! I know, pretty crazy. <-- these are useful for those "both sides of the story" questions. lol

Oh yea, and when doing practice tests, instead of writing the essay, learn to OUTLINE the essays in your head. This will help you during the actual test to organize your thoughts quickly.

hehehe we got that advice like a few hours from the test :D

It's hard to prevent myself from panicking. What's the best mind-set to go into testing-day with?

Just screw it.

I mean the SAT :D Its your enemy strangle it to death!!! Ok on a serious note, just use your common sense on the test. Good luck!

for me, 2 tall lattes with two shots of espresso each from Starbucks

Starbucks is really far away from my school, so no time to get my daily coffee fix. :( FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE YET TO TAKE IT, WISH ME LUCK.

Good luck to you guys too :)

Likewise ^^ Im sure were all gonna do great!

What I was taught to do for SAT essays was robotic but it served its purpose. I wrote in a traditional five paragraph essay with three different examples for my body paragraphs, in which I used examples from literature, personal experience and current events. I found that using examples from literature was really easy since the books we read for English class apply to anything, such as The Great Gatsby, for example.
And for math, just do practice problems from a book, because the Collegeboard repeats the different styles of problems, just using new values. I just practiced a lot and surprised myself with a pretty good score.
Critical reading is toughest to improve on, in my opinion. Um...just practice?
Hope this helps...

Good Luck Everyone Today.
