^if you didn’t take the ACT w/ writing then you just need to make sure that the colleges you apply to don’t require the w/writing portion

unless you are talking about something else

Haha I had 3 solid reasons and talked about the unstated assumption behind the foundation of the school and how school rules obstruct the purpose. AP Comp really helped with this.

4 pages FTW.
So easy, but I prefer the SAT prompts. This one was too narrow. I like when you can use books or history as examples.

Lol, I have no idea how someone could have the passion to write 4 pages about a topic of this sort. If I had gone onto 4 pages, my essay would have degenerated into dribble. I did, like, 2.5 pages.

i don’t get how someone could possibly write 4 pgs in only 30min.
i had 1.5 pages before i ran out of time :/

Is the essay counted as a separate section for superscoring?
one of the colleges i’m interested in needs the writing section, but they also superscore.
so if i took the act’s one more time, would they be able to, for example, take the science and math scores from the first ACT, and the reading and writing w/ essay from the second test?

I don’t think the writing score really factors into anything at all…so don’t worry.

@LAXer25 100% agreed. I only got 1.5 pages, too, and that was after only using 3 minutes to brainstorm, and 3 minutes of proofreading.

But it says If submitting ACT, the writing section is required.
So I need the essay, right?
I might just be very confused. XD

i didn’t really time myself but i know i didn’t spend very long brainstorming and i didn’t proofread at all because i finished writing like 6 seconds before she called time

Edit: if the essay is required then you need to take the act w/writing-all4game

i compared administrator’s and teacher’s rules to federal and state law and then just used lame personal examples.

The writing section may be required, but the score itself does not affect anything, like your composite.

…if it doesn’t affect anything, then what’s the point?
I must be missing something.

^im not sure actually…

i guess its just to see whether or not you can write a decent essay within 30 min.
