oh darn that’s right… oh well -1. that should probably give me a 36 still cuz everyone seems to be complaining about science. i really thought reading was harder. oh well, maybe cuz i was so pressed for time, unlike on SAT reading.

@RT
Do u know the question to the 100% one?

I think it was something like which is the highest intensity?

was the answer 8 Hz or 20 Hz

@mch
do u know the question (I skimmed over that question so I dont remember well)

and was 100% choice A, B, C, D, or E?

I hated it. I was really time constrained at the end and ended up guessing. I found some of the graphs confusing to interpret. Probably didn’t do so hot on this section.

The star section took forever. @-@

was the answer 8 Hz or 20 Hz?

20 hz like 90 percent sure…but ya I was pushed for time on this test too. Normally, I work at a pace of 3.5 min a passage and then have time to check over about half of my work, but this time I had about 3 mins to look over one or two passages.

what was the question to the 20hz one?

what was the question to the 100% one? (and answer choice)

what would you get if you got 10 wrong?

ummm idk around a 25-26

I put 20hz too. Did anyone else?

repost:

what was the question to the 20hz one?

what was the question to the 100% one? (and answer choice)

Mabs-

Sorry about late response. The 20hz question was like wat was the min frequency that humans can hear. The 100% water one asked which S had the greatest intensity I believe.

the min frequency is 20hz i know that from physics this year. the human range is 20-20,000hz

for the 20hz question, was that answer A/F?
air and 100% was choice C, im positive

Yay! (10 char)

tbonus-

Idk…I think water was father to the right than air…indicating greater intensity but I may be wrong.

my first post here
first time i took the act was april. ran out of time and 5 questions. got a 30.
i heard from others that jumping strait to the questions w/o readin much passage helps save time. i did so on today’s test (for all passages except the comparing viewpoints) and finished w about 4 minutes extra ![]()
but in order to do it u gota have some basic understanding science concepts

Regarding the air v. water controversy:

Firstly, let me say that when I started to think about it, I thought that maybe air would be correct. However, this is an excerpt from some online textbook (link is below)

Factors Affecting the Intensity of Sound Waves
factor comments
I ∝ ρ The denser the medium, the more intense the wave. That makes sense. A dense medium packs more mass into any volume than a rarefied medium and kinetic energy goes with mass.

From- Intensity

I deleted other nonpertinant examples but ya since water is denser than air…the waves in water are more intense.

I’m pretty sure it was water.
