June 2010: International

oh yeah okay I remember that

@Jebar: maybe only ‘those’ was underlines, but I chose it. For some reason I remember that sentence lol, maybe because it’s a hard one
@kaitlin: so we pick the same choice yay

both 2.3 and 24 questions have a number line… oh my God, I’m a bit puzzled. But I’m pretty sure there is one question I answered 2.3

God damn it. I put those first, then I changed.

Well I probably got like 2 or 3 wrong in section 3, and none wrong in section 6, and none in section 10. Essay was over 400 words, filled up both pages to the max and used small handwriting. Two in depth examples. So I guess maybe 10/11. So:

Section 3 = experimental
-0MC, 10/11E = 800

Section 6 = experimental
-2/-4, 10/11E = 700??

@Jebar: if you fill both pages and two great examples, so at least a 11 (According to one of my teachers). Only a small handwriting may put the score down a little bit
i left like 9 lines on the second pages :frowning:
do you remember how many Es you chose in sec 3 and 6? I got 5 in sec 3.

What was the question for 2.3? I don’t recall it. I don’t even recall the answer :expressionless:
What do you guys think the curve will be for CR?
IMO:
67- 800
66- 800
65- 800
64- 780
63- 750
64- 730
62- 710
61- 700

61 or 60 = 700.
So that’s -6 or -7 - I have like one omit and (random guess) 5 wrong which is -7 total - 700. I swear if I get a 690…

By the way, in which vocab section was “spate” or whatever? The one with 5 questions? I need to remember that because I don’t remember the word but I know I got the one with 5 Qs all correct.

Ok actually I just checked the January curve from my Q&A and like a raw score of 60 was 700 so in this one a raw score of 59/60 will be 700 - it was slightly more difficult.

I thought my handwriting put me at an advantage. What I meant by small handwriting was that I wrote a lot of words. People fill up 2 pages all the time but with huge handwriting that only accounts for about 250 words.

I actually don’t remember I think I chose 4 or 5 too.

@hesterprynne I got 5 E’s in section 3 as well, and 3 E’s in section 6.

^ thanks… phew… I was afraid there were too many Es on that section. On sec 6 I’m not sure, 3 or 4.
can anyone recall a writing question?

Jebar, by small handwriting, I mean the reader can hardly read it because your essay is scanned. Just the same reason so I have tried to write big letters yesterday. But if you have a beautiful handwriting, how small it is does not matter.

one of them was the ‘intolerable to the queen’ one… I was really unsure whether that one was a E or not…

Yeah, I recall one that I was pretty much not sure of.
The last or before last one in section 6 had a subject and an object and then a comma and then the pronoun “they” - I chose that “they” is wrong because the antecedent wasn’t clear. Or is that wrong? I think I had 3/4 no errors other than this one on section 6.

Can anyone respond to my previous question please? They’re kind of worrying me…

oh… that one was similar to one in a practice test. Is that sentence ‘… was intolerable to the queen who had long been his friend’, right? I chose E.

Yah… I remembered that it definitely appeared on a practice test in the Bluebook, just couldn’t recall what the correct answer was…

mathematicianism and jimmy: same for both, NE for the “intolerable to” and “they” for the one with the managers and the new workers or something like that.

jimmy, what’s your previous question?

I also remember putting E for the one about indigo dye… anyone else remember what the no errors are?

btw, I posted the “intolerable to” sentence from the BB already. Somewhere in pages 6+

Damn it… I also felt that the antecedent for ‘they’ wasn’t clear and chose D instead…

ey ey, I remember that ‘indigo dye’, but just that. Can you tell me more details?

@Jimmy: sorry but I cant remember where the ‘spate’ is…

I put the indigo dye one as NE as well. Wait, so “they” was NE? Damn.
Oh well, superscore
There was a question in math that had a “2.3” answer - I do not recall it - MC or grid-in and what was the question?
Plus - spate was in which vocab set? 5/8/ or 6?

“they” is wrong, sorry for not clarifying  I meant NE only for the “intolerable to”
