June 2010: US History

I’m sorry guys. Pearl Harbor must have been on my practice test then, I suppose I got them mixed up.

What would 1 Blank and 12 Wrong be?

@Rohit93

Normally would be a 760

DEBATABLE Homestead act in 1863 - dealt with speculators or “free soil, free land, free men”
~ i put down the speculators getting blocks of land…?

also: the wording for the question of the oil embargo did have antipollution in it.

repost the list?

@rohit - but maybe (JUST maybe), it’ll be close to a 790 or an 800, since i bet the curve for this test will be better than the usual (that’s just a guess)

NEW QUESTION
What position doesn’t the President appoint? Attorney General?

For me, I think I got around that as well. 1 blank, 11/12 wrong.

Would be more than happy with a 750+.

Was a pretty hard test compared to the APUSH exam.

@mulberry that was already posted. answer is speaker of the house

I think the question you guys are missing was one of those really hard ones…
I remember i left it blank because i had no idea what the answer was… [just if any of you all remember what it was since you may have skipped it as well], I dont see it on the list

 1. Speaker of the House is not appointed by the President

Holy crap, only 3 wrong according to that list. How did that happen?!?!

Grr lol okay thanks.

???

Because you read encyclopedias when you were young and you have a knack for remembering things because you’re white.

…

I KID, I KID, DON’T HURT ME PLEASE.

But, really, I just described somebody I know IRL.

The one about homestead act:
the question explicitly mentioned “Republican Party Idealogy”
and their “idelogy” wasnt “giving out land to settlers”
it should be free men free soil etc

proof:
[Free soil, free labor, free men: the … - Google Books](<a href=“Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Men: The Ideology of the Republican Party Before ... - Eric Foner - Google Books”>Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Men: The Ideology of the Republican Party Before ... - Eric Foner - Google Books)

Okay so this Asian cartoon that is supposedly about containment - I definitely don’t remember it being on the test/am freaking out about it. Would anyone care to trigger my memory (like what section of the test it was in?) Ahhhhh.

hey is under 10 wrong typically an 800? looking at our list i think i got 4-5 wrong… worst case if some of the debatable answers turn the wrong way is like 8

Can someone elaborate on the answer for the Social gospel one? Was it the one about social reform?

Does anyone know if the Sparknotes curve for this test is approximatley correct?
