I got that, hope that’s right. A lot of people just got y = 9.5x

What were the exact numbers in that question? One was 192 (after 32 mins) and the other was in the 700s, though I can’t remember it exactly.

For those of you who got y=9.5x, and you don’t know why there is a -112. That is because the question is asking for an equation specifically for cruising time. That means you have to subtract a certain distance which is 112 km that it wasn’t in cruising time. The parameters are [32, to infinity) for the domain. The point where the plane comes into cruising time is 32, 192. You wouldn’t start at one minute because it is not in the domain for cruising time.

Also, did we have to state the parameters with the equation?

@jyin3e I feel like that question could be interpreted many ways. Your answer makes sense, but the question didn’t say those parameters, so I assumed that x=32, which would work for your equation, was really x=0 (disregarding the rest of the time as the question’s wording led me to believe).

just got my score back. 92/100!!

Do you know what you got wrong? That’s a great score by the way. @anatale312

I’m pretty sure I got like 2 MC wrong and the short answer about explain the slope in this equation short answer one. @km23
