June 2018 Algebra II Regents

I have a few questions…

  1. For the peanut gift set question it’s 124 / x + 16y right?
  2. For the inverse question there is no + - correct?
  3. For the last question did you get 14,000 weekly visits and a 1.1 popularity rating?

i thought it was 124/ 16x + y because x is ounces. 16 times pounds would be too much right? idk

for the inverse question I don’t think there was a ± sign

  1. yes it’s 124/(x+16y) because x is in ounces and 16 ounces equals one pound so the y value has to be evened out
  2. for the inverse yeah it’s just positive because when I graphed the parent function and the positive inverse, they reflected over the y=x line which means they are inverses. But when I graphed the - inverse it didnt reflect over y=x so it can’t be the inverse.
  3. Yeah I got 14,000 and 1.1
LOL 70% of this exam was knowing how to use your calculator, like when I saw the Euler’s number question with e I was like hell nah and just plugged in a number
If all goes well I think I got a 100

Did you guys get negative radical five divided by five for the sine question? I remember my teacher saying not to leave the denominator as a radical.

Aw man I forgot to radicalize that. I had negative 1 over root 5. Hope that’s only 1 point off. My teacher briefly touched on that, I dont get how we were supposed to remember that lol

According to the scoring rubric, you should lose no points for -1 over sqrt 5. Full credit would be given.

Was a point taken off for putting 12 instead of -12 for the average rate of change question? Because I got a 99 and I think that’s what I got wrong
