Yes. Take the exams tomorrow and treat it just like the actual exam. Then, go over the topics where you missed questions. You could also go over all your notes from the year if u want, but tbh it probably won’t be as helpful as actually taking past exams.
@alexhuang76 it should be enough
I love how this feed has 21 posts but our bio thread has like 350
Yeah. this one will probably explode like the biology one tomorrow night though.
Also, what do you mean by the NYS is going to add harder questions?
They just may add stuff that hasn’t been on the previous exams. Not necessarily harder, just unexpected. my teacher did say that we could be expecting a tough exam this year though
Like how on the January '16 Algebra 1 CC exam there was a really hard factoring question that a lot of people could not do because they were never exposed to questions of that difficulty. Do not worry about this, so long as you have paid attention in class this year, you should be fine.
The curve on this one is very nice also. about 35/86 is passing, and the curve is existent all the way up into mastery. Much better than the Alg 1 CC curve at high grades
I think that it is so dumb how you can get like a 35% on the common core math exams and still pass… It just hurts the people at the top who actually study on Alg 1.
The Geometry CC actually has a better curve for the top people than Living Environment because it goes down by 1 at a time consistently.
Hopefully, our exam won’t be tough this year but I hope the curve is good.
You guys NEED to take a look at the conversion chart for Alg 1 CC for this June 2016. The state screwed us over wi last years awful curve. This year it’s like 27/86 to pass!!!
IK it is so unfair! You only need like a 31% to pass! My score that I got last year would have gone up by a point too :-q . FYI, there is a blog called “x, why” that usually posts an answer key the math exams for regents a couple days after the exam is administered.
Thanks kim so much for the x,why thing
Are planes important for the regents?
@alexhuang76 just knowing what they area is all that is important.
However there have been some MCs on cross sections of solids. For example, “which of the shapes below could not be a cross section of a cube”.
Also, be familiar with rotating 2d images about a point/line to create a 3d solid. For example, “what solid is formed when a square is rotated completed about one of its sides” (the answer is cylinder).
What do you mean by the area?
I’m sorry that was a typo. I was trying to say “mean”.
Guys remember to, if you have time, put your MC answers in your calculator as a program to share our answers if you want.
@kimclan1 my score would have gone up 3 points, making the difference between a B+ and an A
Though we took the Integrated Alg regents and i did better so the CC score drops anyway, but still
@kimclan1 Do u know the percentages of what type of questions will they be on i know circles is like only 8% of the test, my friend had this barrons 2016 book and it told her what type of questions would be on it
