June International SAT done!!

@Tiger, yeah, I thought it was a cuz if we put 1 into x, then everything is 0 except choice a which is 2 but then, c was -x^2-4x or something, and if we put -1 into x, then it makes it +3 while a is +1 and everything else is negative, so I thought that was quite tricky

thanks for explaining, I can add another mistake to my list

@Tiger oh…didn’t mean it that way…I was not sure of the answer so I was just giving my reasoning and was expecting disagreement on it…Sorry =(

For america i said ironic because it is the land of free but he is talking about censorship
I failed in vocab section :(.Probably 35/48 in passage and 10-9/19 in vocab)
I also made 2 or 3 mistakes in maths but im Middle eastern and they thought that things in middle school if i get 670 again i will probably suicide :D.
Hope i will hit 2000

Well, MoonTuHon, if there was a higher value and I didn’t try -1, then I guess your answer must be right, and many other people agreed on that on June 2011 thread.

May’s exam gave me confidence that I can get a perfect score in the future, but June’s exam crushed my confidence it. I am willing to hit the books again and try in October. I need more practice.

Ugh the “subject” question in the garden CR took me forever to decide. I eventually settled on “agent”, anyone else?

Also there was a question about what was the narrator’s role when the mother asked her whether she had taken her vitamins/medicine… Am I the only one who chose “teacher” rather than “caregiver”?

also @eagleeyes

Vindictive was the right answer, silly me for thinking it had something to do with Vindication and that impassive had another meaning.

@Tigersteps

I also put Outraged and Spirited vs … something else.

The subject one was Citizen. Right?

I am pretty sure that the right answers were “agent” and “caregiver”.

@basketballer23
Citizen wouldn’t make sense.

@Tigersteps
Didn’t the narrator respond with something like, “Yes mother, Remember I am married to a doctor”? My train of thought was that she was telling or ‘teaching’ the mother information.

Question with 3 cubes with numbers labeled on each side. The number opposite 1 was 5?

@ccuser001

yessir

the math of -(x+2)^2-(2)^2 there was
for that question i don’t remember this the right equation that was written
but what i remember after i tried number like 0 and 1
the right answer was A

@ccuser001
yes it was 5 i like those types of questions

@litahardy

Was this the one that asked which equation would yield the biggest result? I got A as well, I think it was the least complex of the equations IIRC

And note = observe

@ litahardy yep i also got A, i plugged in 2 :slight_smile: what seems to be the general consensus? also for the garden and bees one what did u guys put for the 3rd paragraph? a mode of reasoning or history reference where 2 of the choices.

@Daiana

I can vaguely remember that question… Can you elaborate further?

Also there was a question that asked something like “which of the following were not used by the author”… I think I put down ‘appeal to authority’?

@mariobalotelli

yes which of the following have maximum or greatest value!?
A

Since x must be negative if u put in positive number u had to put negative number to get positve answer. Choice a was -x^2 + 2 and choice c was -x^2 - 4x and try plugging in -1 or -2. Im not too sure forgot to bring calculator and was @_@ throughout whole math sections and @mario the mother was the wife of a doctor not the daughter. she said that to assure her daughter that she knows how to take care of her own health.
