June Math IIC

For the midpoint one. I believe it was D. As least thats what i put.

Can you teach me why its 3.2?

I just hope I make a 700. That's all I want. After taking chemistry and biology, I was completely fried. I mean I don't think that I dipped below 750, but I wouldn't be surprised if the actual score was lower than that.

I skipped none and I know for sure I got 3 wrong, there are 7 others that I am iffy about so the possbilties go from a low of rs 36(710-730) up to 46(800)

What why was the answer in minutes and not hours!!!! about the circulation one!

Could sb please post the cliff problem . I think the right answer is 4.2 or 42 and not 72 .

There was a cube one where I put 23(5/root2). Don't have a calculator so I can't calculate it off hand.

The midpoint question was (-4, -6).

grr i omitted 7 :(

Hey - was the last question about matrices - because i feel like i didn't turn the page.

The last question concerned the properties of matrix dimensions.

How could two spheres intersect to make a circle, and why would the spheres be hollow? A sphere is a 3-dimensional object, not the frame of one.

What was the answer to the question about increasing graphs?

it said spherical surface, that's why we assume they were hollow

yeah about the sphere question how can it possibly be a point, dot 2 spheres intersect in 2 points always and also why can it not be a circle and a sphere??

when they are tangent to eachother, they intersect at one point

when they cross over, they make a circle

btw, was there a math comp the day of the Math IIC test? I heard that as a rumor, and this might give me hope in getting a better curve

anyone know what 4 omitted and 8 wrong works out to be?

About the problem concerning the number of real roots, it didn't say that a is not 0. If a were 0, then you could have 0 real roots. So is it 0 the answer? I hope not ;-) However, it didn't sound ok 'at least 0 roots' as the statement would have been, not that it does matter. So what do you guys think?

Nah, even collegeboard wouldnt pull that crap

So, what's 1 wrong and 0 omitted?

[/sarcasm]

an 810. good job :P

When spheres cross over, they form a sphere, technically an ellipse as the interesection.
