Junior Courses Opinions Wanted

Rising junior in need of feedback on my course selections for next year. I’m shooting for a school like Stanford as a CS/Econ major (white female, urban public school) so I would appreciate any and all feedback!

Here are my current sophomore courses(all A+'s and all honors/AP)
Chemistry
AP Statistics
US History I
Spanish III
Algebra II
English II
AP Comp Sci Principles
MAT 100 College Algebra

I will take pre-calc over the summer in order to take AP Calc BC next year; here are my current course selections for Junior year:

AP Lang
AP Seminar
AP Calc BC
Spanish IV
AP Micro Econ
Honors Physics
Dual Enrollment Art History(need art credit)

Here’s an idea of my senior year schedule:

Multivariable Calc at local college
AP Physics I
AP Comp Sci A
AP Spanish
AP Lit(?)
AP Research

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!! I will be balancing these courses with other EC’s so any advice on the workload/opinions on courses would be awesome too!

I think you should go for IF you think you can handle it. Even if you get a b this course load will definitely show Stanford you challenged yourself. Ask upperclassmen at your high school what they think as well to get some opinions from people who have taken these courses at your school.

Thank you!!! I think I can handle it because I’ve talked with my teachers about it and they think I am more than capable.

Great!

Your junior schedule is ambitious but likely doable if your teachers think you can handle all of these. Just in case, check whether you can take econ honors instead od AP econ; also, aren’t you supposed to take US history II or APUSH?

Senior year is more of a problem because you’ll need time to work on College apps. I’d recommend one semester of MVC and one semester of discrete math, but rathet than AP Lit one semester of a dual enrollment college class that counts for the English HS requirement (Comparative literature for instance, and taken in the Spring to free the period during the Fall for college apps).

That makes a lot of sense, especially the senior year course suggestions. My school district just removed the requirement for US History II and is allowing us to take a history “elective” instead(i.e. AP Econ). Thank you!!!
