I don’t know about chances to get into Rice specifically, but your EC’s are REALLY impressive. HOWEVER, your GPA means nothing without a challenging course load and you only have one AP. Colleges of Rice’s caliber really want some challenging courses. Take at least 2 more AP’s.

@linday – OP must have taken rigorous course load as suggested by extremely high weighted GPA. Maybe I am interpreting this wrong.

If you have taken a rigorous course load with your scores and ECs Rice should not be a problem. They do like to see a VERY hard schedule and the grades to go with it (you have the grades although I am unsure about the schedule) so if you have not challenged yourself within the limits of your school (remember it’s not your fault if your school doesn’t offer many APs or Honors courses) then Rice may be a bit of a stretch. I am not an expert – this is just my opinion, please take this and all other “chances” with a grain of salt.

Just try to improve ur math and cr scores and try to get more leadership positions for your extracurriculars. Ur gpa is excellent! Otherwise, looks good!
