<p>Davidson is DI, but a small DI (obviously). They recruited my son for his sport, but he got into his ED school, so Davidson fell by the wayside. I think it sounds like an awesome school. I also think your son should look at Pomona and Claremont McKenna- hey, California weather is great. They are DIII and he could play there. I can't understand why he doesn't want to be a tackling dummy for the UT football team! :) Given where you live, I don't think Rice has much appeal. He should go away. Emory is DIII and while I haven't visited, S was recruited by them and it sounded awesome.</p>
<p>Might want to look at Holy Cross-very good Patriot League school, Div1aa football program. HC has a nice campus(1 hour from Boston) and a football program with lots of tradition-1942 Orange Bowl. Holy Cross is a SAT optional school.</p>
