Junior Year Help

I'm in the process of deciding my schedule for junior year and this is what I've come up with so far:
Ap English 3 (I think it's Language)
APUSH
AP Bio
Ap Art History
Ap World History
H Pre Calc
H physics
A standard required class that I have to take every year

I discussed some concern about a few of these classes here:
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/high-school-life/1604704-is-this-too-much-for-junior-year.html#latest">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/high-school-life/1604704-is-this-too-much-for-junior-year.html#latest</a></p>

I'd like to challenge myself while also taking courses I'm actually interested in. I'm worried that the three history courses may be too much. I'm also worried about Bio because I think the reading may be as intense as APUSH but I don't have that big of an issue with it mainly being about memorization. Also, I've only heard of two juniors taking this class so far and they aren't doing so hot. As far as having time out of school for homework and studying, I'm not certain as to how much time I'll have then. Currently, I only stay after school for two days a week, less than two hours each but I do work on some other stuff at home. Next year, I'm not sure if it'll be the same. I would also have to complete a lot of testing that year. I'm also facing the difficulty of trying to find a job within the upcoming weeks to gear myself towards being more financially independent. Mentally, I feel that I'm able to get in the mindset and motivate myself to keep up with these classes but I'm not sure how realistic this will all be. My GC already advised me to drop Ap world history with concern that the remaining four may already be enough and that the course may overlap with USH.

I believe in hard work if that counts
Thoughts? Advice? Opinions?

How much prior knowledge do you have about history? Do you tend to procrastinate?

I would recommend you save some history classes for your senior year, but if you are interested and motivated, I believe you can succeed in all three.

I have some prior knowledge as I’ve already taken honors world history and I’m currently taking civics and AP Gov. I do procrastinate from time to time. My problem is not so much with getting the work done but rather getting started on it. Once I start, I feel like I’m in the zone, lol.

Bumpity

Junior year is supposed to be the hardest, so unless you are sure you can balance the SAT/PSAT/ACT, grades, a possible job, and some ec’s, you might want to drop AP World. APUSH is hard enough on its own and a lot of those classes involve a ton of reading and work.

You have four classes that require a lot of memorization. Unless you have a photographic memory, I think you’ll be miserable. I think your counselor is right - you need to drop one of the history APs.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I am also a current sophomore and this is the schedule I’m planning on for Junior Year:
AP Lang (dont know how hard)
Financial Independence (required class super easy A+)
Sports Medicine (also super easy A+)
AP Spanish (super easy A or A+)
AP Stats (A- or A)
AP Calc AB (A)
AP Chem (A- or A)

I am taking AP Bio this year and I haven’t found it too hard (I have an A), and as for the history question… History classes are hard due to the amount of reading and such so I would prefer to move it if I were you! I am also taking Pre Calc and APUSH as a sophomore, which I also don’t find too hard (APUSH requires a lot of reading and memorization though)

My experience has been that when you’re interested in a subject, you tend to just absorb a lot of stuff in class and you don’t have to intentionally/actively memorize as much. So taking three AP history classes could be viable if you’re really interested in history.

You make a good point heather.
