Just Breathe

I know exactly what you all are going though. I remember the entire month of January I was on this blog trying to guess exactly what day decisions would be coming out. I looked for clues and took people’s guesses, which were based on basically nothing. I spent countless hours trying to figure this out. I was accepted last year on the 26th, which was a Monday. The housing glitch went up on a Friday, and then, like some people’s guesses said, decisions came out the next business day. Every year is different, especially since they have extended the date this year. Just try to relax and not spend so much time with this guessing game.
I wish you all the best of luck, and if you have any questions now, or once decisions go out and you need to decide on a school, I can answer any questions!

Where would we find the decision when it is posted on the portal?

You’ll get an email that will tell you to check your portal

Can we know ur stats?- since u got in?

I got a 29 on my ACT (I didn’t submit my SAT), had a 4.3 GPA, and was 15/300 in my class.
Honestly, my stats won’t tell you much. I know people with much lower who got in and ones with similar stats who didn’t. Plus, other factors play a huge role.

Did you apply instate or out of state?

Out of state

If you get deferred, will it say “deferred” or will it look the same as it is right now? I heard that for some schools, if they defer you, they don’t tell you directly

apparently maryland does not offer defer, just accept or deny

@adirv111 Hmmm I think you are right

The Twitter said that they’d consider deferrals if a student requests it, I’m guessing that’s for people who get rejected priority
