Last time, I applied for UW Seattle transfer for winter 2019 and got rejected. Many of you suggested I apply for the school again for autumn 2019. Well, despite practically re-writing my personal statement, paying $50 to receive help from someone who is expert on writing stuff like this, AND assuring that I will meet all the major requirements that I applied for (HCDE), I still got rejected.
Now, I understand that HCDE isn’t easy to get into. I wasn’t surprised when i got rejected for the major. But it’s soul-crushing to find out I got rejected on the general transfer. I am starting to think I am destined to continuously be rejected by UW.
I don’t feel like trying again. I don’t understand why I have to deal with constant rejection, on top of feeling like garbage for spending the last 6 years at my comm college to find my career path.
Actually, I just want to not attend universities/colleges AT ALL. I feel I am not meant to get a career jobs. At this point, I would rather be a retail salesperson for the rest of my life rather than wasting my time on tying to get into universities.
If I recall correctly, I think that you posted that your community college GPA was low. If so, that is the issue. It can only be overcome by earning stellar grades.
There are other public universities in Washington state. Have you considered Western Washington ?
You were rejected by this school once and said yourself in a prior post that your GPA was 'a bit shallow." You need to apply to a range of 4 year schools including some that are match/safety schools given your academic stats.
My cc gpa was as low as 1.7 about 2 years ago. I then took a gap year and came back with determination to resurrect my gpa. In 3 quarters of retaking classes, I got it to a 3.73 and applied for UWS Autumn '19. Just got accepted as a transfer 2 days ago. Looks like UW likes a comeback story with some numbers to show for it. It’s never too late, my dude.
Just re-apply and get better grades. I was just rejected from my dream major CSE as well, and I think I will just continue to improve my grades and shove these into the face of admissions officers. If you eventually won’t get in, go somewhere else. You’re not defined by the prestige of a school
