I think you definitely have a chance! You will need to take SAT II’s… Korean doesn’t count for much of anything because you’re fluent. What are you majoring in? You have a smattering of activities here, but I’d say to focus your energy on pursuits that are related to the field you want to go into. UChicago is also really dependent on essays, so figuring out your focus is imperative for those.

Best of luck! Chance me back?

I only put a small clutter of activities that I truly enjoyed, but I do have more than that. I want to go political science but unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of oppertunities for that around where I live (it is a tourist city like Vegas… so not known for oppertunities besides community involvement). I am also legacy if that helps… and have a burning passion for the beautiful game

SAT II I plan World and US History, Physics, Math and French

I’m not saying that you don’t have enough activities, but knowing you want political science helps me contextualize your application. Things like Model UN, history club, politics club, etc. become more important than aquarium volunteer, for example.

Your profile looks good, but UChicago is ultra-competitive, so no one is a guarantee. If money isn’t a concern and UChicago is your definite first choice, I would suggest applying ED.

No one can chance you for U Chicago without seeing your essays!

Of course I will. It’s my dad’s school and family school.
