Just how much would B's matter?

I will be very general and brief. I attend the most competitive high school in America and just got 3 B's in 3 of my AP classes. I used to be an ESL student not a long time ago if that matters. I would like to apply to the top colleges (I'm being really general) next year and I had never gotten a B in my whole life. So how much should I regret for getting these B's considering I am still ranked about 10th/1200 people even after the B's?

If those classes were relevant to the major you are applying for (e.g. AP Calculus and engineering), then they might matter. Otherwise, probably not much.

"I attend the most competitive high school in America"

Please.

I would not sweat B's....they are still very good for AP classes!!!! If they are the only B's you have ever gotten do not worry about it!!!!!! There is nothing you can do and for the competitive schools many things have to be very good not just grades...so good luck and dont worry too much.

mathnerd4869, I honestly hope a couple of Bs won't matter.
So far I have a 4.0, and I received one 89 this year so when I send out my midyear report I should have a 3.8 or so =/

There are people who get a few Bs here and there, and still get into Harvard. =)

I heard that anyone who gets a B gets automatically rejected from college.

^ same goes for A-'s and low As (anything <99%).

I have 5 b's throughout high school.

Two are in stupid freshman class, like Prep for College and Academic Readiness. Who the hell has heard of those stupid classes anyways. Those are truly bull classes that they force us to take.
