Just posting to announce that SAT SCORES ARE IN!

3*800
content

I just checked my score. Everyone, the CollegeBoard is working again!!! Good luck!

lmao...might be working for you...

lyao? i think it shd be working for evryone now...

I got
800- maths 2c
800-writing
780- chemistry

I got 1510 in SAT I -770 VB,740 M

Should I give my SAT I again in Dec.?

I have a 1520, and I'm not...though it depends on how many times you've taken it (I did it 2x).

I think 1510 is good enough, especially since your other scores are very high, but since you did well on math and writing, you can probably improve your SAT I's if you did try again.

hmm... i disagree with zantedeschia... i got 800 for writing but i'm 100% sure that if i were to take sat1 again, i wouldn't get higher than my current score for verbal (720). verbal mainly tests you on vocab and logic, but writing tests you on grammar. but i suppose you can always take the test again if you're not happy with your score. after all, there's nothing to lose as they'll only look at the best scores.

I gave it just once

then you have nothing to lose if you try again.

And yea I guess writing isn't a good indicator of verbal, but just being a good test taker (as shown by the other scores) means that you can probably do better.

how much do you think going from 1450 to 1560 helps?

That can easily be the difference between an accept and a reject, EncomiumII. In other words, it helps a lot.

Hmm. All the more reason for me to break my math above 700 on the November test. Does anyone else have a huge split like me? (800V and 670M) I feel like the dumbest one here. Haha.

mine's 800v/720m, which is somewhat sizeable...

when i took the SAT the first time 750 V/700M my verbal was higher, and it always used to be higher. but this time i got an 800 math, which is almost unexplainable to me. if you were to say i would get an800 math when i was a sophomore or junior i would have laughed in your face because i've always been better at verbal. oh well, i'll take it!!!

Wow. That's an awesome jump, Encomium! Congrats.

Yeah, I'm hoping I get at least a 30 point Math increase come November as well, especially considering that the first an only time I took the SAT was during the fall of my Junior year. It'd be depressing if my score went down after a year's extra worth of high school work.

I always thought I'd be better at math, but I ended up getting a better verbal score. Though technically, I did get more wrong in verbal, it just had a more forgiving curve.

C_J ...I think i just got lucky. sometimes, when taking 10 real SAT's (i took about 6) I found math sections easy and sometimes hard...(meaning sometimes I got 3-4 more wrong than usual which could make a difference of like 70 points). So I would just say do your best! If you have a good day, you have a good day. Hopefully it'll work out for you.
