<p>I'm currently a senior in high school and I've been applying to colleges. I don't feel as if I have any safety at all and I'm worried that I might get denied to all of the universities I've applied to. It seems that all of my friends and cousins have been accepted into the unviersities of their choice and I'm the only one left wondering.</p>

<p>The majority of my anticipation is due to the fact that my gpa is pretty bad.
Intended Major: CS</p>

<p>ACT: 26
32 English, 25 Math, 23 Reading, 25 Science</p>

<p>I advise anyone reading this to please, shield your eyes. GPA: 2.78 out of 4.0 unweighted.</p>

<p>ECs: Volunteer work, and Career oriented volunteering at an electronics company.</p>

<p>I honestly feel as if I don't have any safety. Here is a list of the colleges I've applied to in order of preferance. Please keep in mind that I acknowledge that some of these are unrealistic:</p>

<p>My main priority is that I am accepted into at least one of these so my questions are:
Do I have any type of "safety" on this list? Which highest preferable university do I have a chance at?</p>

<p>I don’t think you have a bad chance at all, given that your essay’s solid. Class rank would’ve been nice to see, though, but your ACT score should help :)</p>

<p>I wouldnt be too worried. Several of those schools are matches for you. Many have a pretty cut-and-dry admissions process relying almost completely on GPA and SAT scores which isnt terrible. I dont know the exact admit profile at all those schools, but you can check and easily see if you call within the middle 50%.</p>

<p>From what I can see, you have a chance at a lot of these colleges. Especially Western Michigan University, University of Missouri, Northern Illinois University, Bradley University and both campuses of Southern Illinois University. You have absolutely nothing to worry about, just write awesome essays and get stellar teacher recs! :)</p>

<p>Since you’re already in at Bradley, there’s no point in chancing you for that school. Low matches aren’t actually that bad if you’ve got several of them; you will be in at least one of the six low matches on your list.</p>
