Okay I've posted billions (exaggeration :p) of threads requesting like help for SAT preparation. I am taking it over in November this year (got 1780 on my first try in June). I really need people to help me boost my grades by telling me tips on what worked for them and giving me advice on what to do daily. I'm in the process of reading Silverturtle's guide and It is helping so far :).
The Breakdown of my scores:
CR- 580
Math-610
Writing-590
I am international so I need a really good score to get anywhere from a half to a full scholarship or really good financial aid as I want to go to U of Miami and with plane fares and storage fees along with the cost of tuition , room and board that would be a hefty fee for my parents and getting the scholarship would help big time :). Please help me to raise my scores to 2000 + and don't tell me that's not possible, please. I don't want your negativity . Joust please help :)

oooops typo … it’s supposed to be just instead of joust lol … BUMP BUMP BUMP

Practice is the only way to improve. You can easily raise CR by a couple of point by simply memorizing a lot of vocabulary. As for the passages you have to learn to concentrate on what’s given to you in the passage and always go back to make sure your answer is justified by what is in front of you, not by what you feel is right. Remember your opinions do not matter in the CR. For math you also have to keep practicing. Look back at your answers and understand why you got it wrong so that you don’t make the same mistake. Try memorizing a formulas if necessary. After a while you just start to think and approach math problems in different ways. Writing, according to many CC members, is the easiest section because you have to memorize stuff. Just look at Silverturtle’s guide I think he has an extensive section on this.

Thank you @mook32 … Any other advice?? Anyone ??

Bump bump !!!

Anyone!!!

You’ll certainly want to study with guides and books, take official tests to practice, and dedicate yourself to studying hard. You may also wish to take the ACT, as many people score significantly better in that format (and vice versa, but it’s worth a shot to see if one format favors your abilities more than the other).

thanks @billymc
