Just seeing if i have a shot

Alright be honest u all, im a juinor and was wondering if i have a chance at U M

gpa weighted 4.3
UW - 3.6
top 10%
i think rank is like 24/465

SAT - 2130

IB all 4 years,

AP Stats- 4

EC

Hoby ambassador
Hindu youth group leader
NHS
Varsity soccer 2 years
over 150 hours community service at Hospital
over 400 hours of community service with local INdian community
Colorado Cricket league captain
Chess club captain, and ranked in the state

i would say that you're a match for umich...although your gpas a little on the low side...your ecs, sat, and the fact that you IB(which means tough classes) helps you

but then again my evaluation is kind of pointless....youre a junior...so many things can happen in one year..grades might go up...might go down...you may catch a disease and fall behind in school...you just never know...so its kind of pointless to speculate...

A safe match I would say. The GPA is on the lower side, but class rank, course difficulty and SAT are very good.

I desparately want to get into U Mich and i was wondering is it true, that if u apply early, u have a better shot even if ur stats arent a perfect match for UMich? Also if i apply late sept in rolling admissions, when i get my answer, can i only be rejected, or accepted, or is there some sort of a "deferred" policy

-need all the help i can get

With your credentials, you will most likely get an acceptance or a deferral. there is no way a student ranked in the top 5% of her/his class and a 2140 on the SAT will get a reject from Michigan in the early period. I definitely recommend you apply very early (September), if only to hear back from Michigan by Thanks Giving.
