What are the hardest and easiest engineering majors? Not the hardest/easiest to get in, but the engineering majors that have the toughest/easiest curriculum.

I’m SE btw

bioengineering hard
mechanical engineering easy

Just my opinion, but I don't think there are any "easy" engineering majors. Too much math and physics in ME to be called easy.

^True. But there are some engineering majors that are definately a tad bit harder at ucsd.

BioE, EE, CS, and CE are considered the "hardest" engineering majors at ucsd. These are the most impacted because there are so few ppl in these majors. Most courses in these majors are only offered once a quarter, and they are small classes of less than 100 people each. I think this helps create a lot more competition.

I know ME is very hard too, but their lectures have like 250 ppl in them.

ME is considered easy? i've heard it has lots of physics and math and that can never be considered easy..
