forgot something - and cos apparently i cant edit my post - what sort of marks would I have to have? right now, my gpa is kinda ****

I transferred from a college in Canada to the States after one semester because I didn't like it there.

I'm a US citizen who went TO Canada though; I'm not sure if you're a Canadian to start off with, that might be different.

I only applied to one school, a CSU (California State University) because I was desperate to leave, and by the time I decided that the school in Canada wasn't for me, the deadline to apply to most schools had already passed. The CSU, however, had a wonderful rolling admissions policy. Oh, that and the fact that they pretty much accept everyone who has half a brain.

Grades: I guess it depends on where you're trying to apply to. The same thing goes for transfer students who are trying to transfer within the US too - the better the grades, the better chance you'll have. A 3.5 is considered good, a 3.7 is pretty damn good, and a 3.9+ is ideal.
