<p>Echo EMM1. (And I’ve always thought sports were an EC. That’s all my kids have ever done cuz that’s all they’re interested in.) If she can’t do both a club and a sport, let her choose which she prefers. Don’t start building her life around a college application.</p>
<p>S2 plays football in the fall, wrestles in the winter and does track in the spring. All 3 also require work-out time in addition to practice. He is very active at his church (on the weekend and in the evenings after practice), in a number of leadership positions. His list of high school ECs is pretty thin.</p>
<p>He is doing what he wants to do and what he is passionate about. I believe that is exactly what every AdCom I have ever talked to has said they are looking to see in an applicant. If not, tough!</p>
