Kelley Standard Admission Chances?

Here is a little background about myself I will try to keep it short:

I just finished my sophomore year of college at IU. I transferred in last fall.

First semester of college I received a 3.6 GPA
Second semester of college I received 4.0 GPA

At IU my first semester (Fall 2017) I joined the sustainable business club and these where my grades and classes:
A-100 A-
C-104 B+
K-201 B+
Experimental topics A+
Folklore A-

GPA 3.55

My second Semester at IU (Spring 2018) I joined a social fraternity where I worked on some philanthropy and I got into the TAU SIGMA national honor society

A-202 C
G-202 A-
T-175 A
Folklore A+
Volleyball A
Intro to Scuba A-

GPA 3.42

Over all GPA 3.48

As soon as I realized earlier in the semester that I would more than likely not meet automatic admissions I started seeing the Kelley admission advisors for advice. In short I asked them if I was screwed and needed to change my major and they told me based on what they see from previous years as well as my grades at IU that I do not need to change my major. However, I am unsure if I really have all that good of a chance?

Any sort of feedback is very appreciated

It’s hard to say, but I think the Kelley advisors probably know better than most people. They talk to students in your situation all the time. I don’t have that much knowledge on this topic, but it’s even harder to predict with the new 3.5 GPA requirement in place. I’m not sure if meeting one of the criteria helps you (either a 3.5 or all B’s and above) or what exactly they look for beyond the automatic requirements.

I believe you need to achieve at least a B in all pre-core classes. Your A202 grade may be problematic. I would call. Perhaps you can retake the class? Good luck!

Well I got accepted I hope this might help someone else out who will be going through the same situation as me.

I am a freshman at IU. Got a 3.63 GPA but a C+ in of the gen eds. But an A- or higher in rest. Is there a good possibility of me getting in Kelley?
