I received acceptances from The Gunnery, Kent, and Pomfret but I have no idea which one is best for me. Could somebody explain a little more about how each of these schools differ from each other. Thanks.
LETS GO KENT!

The Gunnery- My Mum went there, plus all the info above.
Kent- Engaging Interview, and all above info.
Pomfret- Same as Kent.
Loomis- Mediocre interview and strong application year.
St. Paul’s- Same reasons as Loomis.
General Comments- I thought I was going to be accepted at Loomis, and flat out rejected by St. Paul’s.
Kent or Gunnery. Pomfret is a slightly weaker school academically. I think you have chose which one feels right to you.
Thanks @Center
@cbfchief All things being equal, Kent, then Pomfret, then Gunnery. But, it depends on your priorities. Since you are in Switzerland, can we assume you will not be attending revisit days?
Pomfret is not often discussed around these parts, but it has a stealthy prestige, if that makes any sense–the campus is especially lovely; the school has an exceptional group of alumni; the students and families generally have an outsized love of and loyalty to the school.
I hate Pomfret with the heat of a thousand suns because they didn’t use some of that Corzine money to build a pool, but surprisingly enough, the school seems not to give a hoot what I think!
The Gunnery is small, and feels it. If you have family connections, maybe those connections are what is most important. Or not.
Kent punches up. The school is good, real good, and often plays, literally and figuratively, with schools many folks would say without irony are more prestigious, better known, more selective, richer…
As a parent- I say Pomfret. They offer a well balanced experience. They provide a ton of activities for the students! Academics, athletics and the arts are balanced.
