Kenyon Regular Decision 2022

JUST CALLED!!! They said in the next 24 hours!!!

like as in today or it will be tomorrow

I need Kenyon to come through so bad. I donā€™t know how the process has treated you guys, but Iā€™ve been rejected by my safety, 6 reaches, 1 match and waitlisted at F&M. Iā€™m wondering what an acceptance letter looks likeā€¦if I get accepted to Kenyon, I will only listen to Pinegrove and Walk The Moon for the rest of the month

Well, Iā€™ve also been waitlisted by F&M and rejected by 4 safety schools so, I know the feeling bro

Also waitlisted by F&M and a lot of LACs last week. Iā€™ll scream if I see a ā€œCongratulationsā€

Everyone will. Kenyon was my first choice, but due to certain issues, I decided to apply regular. Iā€™ll more than just scream if I see a ā€œcongratulationsā€.

What other schools are you all still waiting to hear from?

Skidmore, Pitzer, Lehigh and Villanova. You?

Just wanted to send positive energy to those of you stressing. Deep breath. No matter what, you are fine. Are you familiar with the quote:
ā€œSo much has been given to me I have not time to ponder over that which has been denied.ā€

That was Helen Keller! Try to remember your many blessings. I hope Kenyon comes through for each of you, but if not, there are tons of great schools and a gap year can be a wonderful opportunity if you take that route.

@ā€œArhin Jefferyā€ Besides Kenyon, just Wellesley and Smith. Thanks for the quote @aynrandfan !

Weā€™ll get through this together @barcelona72

@aynrandfan Thanks for the nice quote. A gap year is a good idea unless youā€™ve already taken one.

@barcelona72 Iā€™m right there with you! Been rejected by 5/11 schools I applied to and then waitlisted at one. Iā€™ve only gotten into two schools and theyā€™re both state schools. I feel your anticipation and pain

@barcelona72 The rejections and waitlist decisions from DDā€™s match and stretch schools this year have left our household very perplexed. While I wish none of you were in this position, I canā€™t help but wonder if this year is an anomaly. Based on historical data, it doesnā€™t seem to make sense! We wonā€™t know until all the stats are released after the admissions season is complete.

As an international student that needs a full ride to attendā€¦the process has been horrible to me. Waitlisted at my #1 Trinity, and rejected from Macalester, Grinnell, F&M and Denisonā€¦waiting for about 7-8 more, Kenyon included. I have a full ride from Rollins though, so Iā€™m safe but itā€™s crushingā€¦knowing that money is the reason Iā€™m out of all of those places.

For all of you who are waiting, have you shown interest? With these types of LACs, it matters.

@homerdog Good thing to mention. While Kenyon isnā€™t my first choice, I am still nervous about the fact I didnā€™t show enough interest. There was an interview option in my area but I couldnā€™t make it. I did request mailing info and I opened all their emails and followed them on social media, but I read somewhere the interview is important (although not required) after the fact. I wonā€™t be hurt if Iā€™m rejected, but of course iā€™d like to have Kenyon as an option. Weā€™ll just have to find out

Iā€™m really hoping Kenyon comes through. Rejected from my #1 Barnard, waitlisted at my #2 Reed. Rejected from: Colby, Bowdoin, Swarthmore and UChicago. Not too surprised about my rejections and I got good merit aid from Clark University so Iā€™m set. But I really love Kenyon.

Iā€™m just noticing, too, that some of you are internationals looking for aid. Unfortunately that looks like a rough go this year.

I was accepted to Reed, Tulsa, and Westminster, but Kenyon is definitely my first choice. The wait is killing me!
