kenyon socially/academically

While it may be too soon to tell, I don't think my son found the transition to college to be tough academically-speaking. He went to a very competitive prep school and thus has good study habits. He speaks highly of his profs and was enthused about his classes. Like many, his major is "undecided."

As an academic myself, I , like erdad, was impressed by the professors I met at parents weekend, etc. My wife and I were also highly pleased by the orientation day for parents in the fall. I think I'm a pretty good judge of schools and Kenyon is an impressive academic institution, IMHO.

Dennis, Thanks again for your helpful information. It's good to hear my daughter's and my positive impressions reinforced by someone who is in the academic field. One last question for now - did your son attend the program for admitted students last April and, if so, is there a parent's component to this program? Thanks!

MotherOfTwo, we did not attend the admitted students event in the spring - too far away for us.
