Want to be a writer, male/caucasion, think thats it...all imput is greatly appreciated.

I'm from columbia (mo). we play you guys every now and then. i play on columbia pride and rock bridge for hs. do u play for cbc or chaminade? columbia's in my top three too, but im applying ed to princeton. honestly, i cant say there are too many flaws in your resume. you're ec's couldnt be stronger, grades look good too, but u dont need me to tell u ur weakness is ur SAT. nevertheless, ur odds do go up when u actually send in the application, and adcoms will see ur strenghts in other areas. ive got some posts up and around myself, cuz i understand this year is nervewrecking to say the least. if u wanna talk about it drop me a line via email amc_cook@yahoo.com.

thanks for the reply man, hope to play you sometime this year, but i think we are in a lower division. I transferred from SLUH to ladue so I probably have played you in the past. Will visit ur posts soon.

Highly unlikely at Columbia, UPenn, Dart, or UChicago.

I disagree. I think he has a fine chance at UChicago.

i met a busch keeper from ladue a year or two ago at a camp...neway, sluh's coming here to columbia for a game against us in the next couple weeks. chicago's definitely not a reach for u. u should check out their soccer program. their coach has been in touch with me for a while, and im guessing u've got what it takes to impress him given ur experience with fusz.

I still have a bit more than a year so what would you think needs the most improvement? Grades, im taking my SAT again, hooks? Anything I could do in order to get into Columbia, UPenn, or Dart?

You may find this informative...

<a href="http://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/level3.asp?id=377%5B/url%5D">http://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/level3.asp?id=377</a></p>

grades are good, dont worry about ec's - just stay involved in those, sat scores are clearly the place u can improve ur resume the most...i'd say for hooks, as far as i know, get in touch with soccer coaches at chicago and columbia, if ur good enough u can use that as a hook...columbia's coach kinda blew me off basically because most ivy coaches dont give the time of day to a player who isnt at least all-state and regional odp, but better soccer programs' coaches (princeton, gtown, and u chic) have kept in touch with me, so it's a crap shoot which coaches will like u...

I disagree with banditTX. I think you are a very strong student with demanding academic courses and results. You are at the top, or nearly so, in the class information page that banditTX has been kind enough to link. Your resume of extracurricular activities are quite impressive.

If you work hard on making your essay unique and memorable, along with some killer teacher recommendations, you stand a great chance. You are being realistic with your qualifications. Admission is guarenteed to nobody at these schools you are aiming at. Just keep that in mind.

I may suggest adding one more safety and take out maybe one reach school on that list because I believe you have enough match/reach.

All in all, you are an impressive applicant. Congratulations on your accomplishments and I wish you good luck in applying.

Thanks everyone for their input, it really appreciate it. And Materia thx for letting me go to sleep on a good note lol

i got a 2220 on my SAT, then would i have a serious chance at Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, and Penn??
