[Residential Policies](Residential Life Policies)
Also prohibited, on campus, is the use, possession, or storage of … daggers, retractable bladed knives, knives with a fixed blade over 2.5 inches used for any purpose other than cooking…

I’m assuming you can use knives longer than 2.5in if its for cooking, although taking a cooking knife around campus would be hard to explain.

EDIT: I don’t think Muir allows knives. Check with each college.

hahahaha its okay! it doesn’t come off across the internet well anyway!

FIRST of all, do you really need a knife? I carry a knife on me when I go to the beach/gliderport at night and what not, I had a stun gun as well during my freshman year and I AM NOT BRAGGING about it. You seriously do not a knife or a weapon here at UCSD, it is quite safe at nights and I go to the beach with friends a lot at like midnight or later every week and return at about 4-5 AM. There is very low right about mugging here mate.
