Know anyone English who's got in/got rejected from Ivy League?

didn't you do well the first time?

...i get my results in a couple of days. yikes.

Well, they're OK but not really good enough, I think I can improve them at any rate. It wasn't great timing for me, but given the circumstances they're not bad I guess.

do you think they care a lot about the SAT? some of the ivies say that the SATs are a bit of a formality because english people aren't familiar with the system etc etc. and they pay more attention to transcript/ECs etc.

Well, I just don't want my score to be so low that they see it's low, I'm aiming for the bottom of their 50% range statistics.

what roughly is that? ...i know i didn't get 100%...so at what point would you recommend i retake?

OK. I think you misunderstood me. Basically, on the colleges' websites, they have pages on admissions statistics. They will publish the scores of the middle 50% of their most previously admitted class (so from 25 - 75%). It's a good idea to have your scores within that range. Basically, I don't want my scores to be so low that they notice how low they are (if that makes any sense, exams have turned my brain into jelly).
