Know anyone who got into an ivy league school without taking physics?

I got into Stanford without taking Physics. Heck, I only took 3.5 credits of science period. (But I had 7 social science credits and went in as a social science major.)

Honors Biology –> Honors Chemistry –> AP Environmental Science –> AP Biology

When I was a freshman at MIT, they told us that about 5% of the entering class each year had never taken physics pre-MIT.

As others have said, though, it can matter why you didn’t take it. The people that I knew at MIT who had never taken physics before, came from schools that didn’t offer it. If you didn’t take it because you were exploring something else - another science, or an area relevant to your intended major, or something like that - in greater depth than your intro class allowed, that might also be acceptable.

I guess it depends upon your major, isn’t it? For a Music major, it wouldn’t matter but for one going in science or engineering, it would look bad?

@WorryHurry411 Please note the date of this thread. I’m sure the parties involved have already graduated college by now

I didn’t see but but my question is related to this thread so guess it’s okay to revive it instead of starting a new one?
