Knox College - Class of 2023

So is anyone going?

My son will be joining in the Fall of 2019. We’re from NYC

He went to 4 accepted student days: SUNY-ESF, SUNY-Plattsburgh, Allegheny and Knox.

He was accepted to SUNY Oswego, SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Albany, as well as Iona, Niagra, Albright, Ithaca College, Muhlenberg, and Bard.

It was a tough decision and it was down to Allegheny and Knox, both on the Colleges that Changes Lives list.

The passion of the professors and the friendly student body really impressed him. He also liked the suite-style dorm living.

A very good friend of my D is going, and is very excited about it. We’re all from a Chicago suburb.

Congrats! I was rooting for Allegheny because I know many who went there but I’ve heard nothing but great things about Knox. I wanted my kids to look at LACs but didn’t get much traction there though one did end up at one of just two LACs he visited. Theyball tended to like the universities more. Knox, Allegheny , Centre were all on MY Lists over the last 20 years.

@MWolf Yup - lot’s of Chicago area folks go there.

@Theoden That is because Chicagoland people know quality when they see it.

So…my son has landed at Knox and, from what I can tell is having a good time. His classes are interesting and challenging. He’s in what’s called a living-learning community, where all his suite-mates (16 in a duplex suite) are in the same Freshman Preceptorial (Freshman Seminar) and have social events together.
