Any reviews on this program?
I just got in, but I’ve heard from other people who have already gone that it is a very rewarding experience! Does anyone know how competitive this program is or how many people apply?
hi! i attended kode with klossy last year, and got into the mobile development camp this year. i took AP Computer Science at school, so i already knew a lot about backend coding going in. for the first few days, they teach a lot of basic concepts that can be really hard to understand, but i think that the instructors do a good job walking through everything. it’s not a completely academic camp, and although its from 9 to 5, they do have a lot of breaks and games in between ! i would say that overall it was cool meeting new people, but i wouldn’t say that i learned anything new.
as for competitiveness, i think that there’s a solid amount of applicants, and you can pretty much estimate how many people are accepted based on the number of cities and sessions. i had around 15-20 girls in my camp. however, i wouldn’t say that it’s particularly prestigious, and it definitely won’t get you into college like MITES or TASP. but !! it’s a fun two weeks and highly recommend you go if you’re able to. also, the food was good, and it’s free !
