Kurzweil 3000 Assistive technology

I am reading about this Kurzweil 3000 technology, which is in use at the disability office at my son's future chosen college. I'm wondering if anybody out there has used it. We were thinking of buying the software NOW so that my son can get adjusted to it while he is in the last stages of his senior year, but don't know if we should purchase the software for a Mac or a PC, or if that will matter… when it comes time to coordinate with whatever the software is at his college….

Try checking at ldonline.org.

If you can afford it, purchase it now! We were told it performs better on PC. Kurzweil is compatible with all digital text formats so there will be no compatibility issues unless your son’s specific college requires a particular format (unrelated to LD) as some engineering programs do. My son used it throughout college and still uses it.
It was a game changer.

Thanks!!! That was EXACTLY the information that I needed, BadParent!
