One question, which one would you choose under the following two options? And the reason (jop oppetunity, prestige of campus, etc...)?
1. L&S @ UCB
2. EECS @ UCLA

Check out Universidad de Tijuana as an English major for jop oppetunity.

UCLA does not have an EECS major, nor anything close to it. AFAIK, they have a CS and a CE. Maybe you could do a double major-- CS and CE, or CS and EE?

The people at UCB will tell you that any degree from UCB is prestigeous and will lead to lots of job opportunities, but I think there's a reason the EECS major there is impacted, and the L&S CS isn't. Too, not that it really matters, the L&S CS major is not accredited (at least as of a year ago).

For CS prestige, UCB all the way.

For CS jobs ops in general, UCB is gonna be better simply because of its proximity to Silicon Valley, but more importantly is where you prefer living. Either school is well known.

Not if that's how they teach you to spell. :P

I got accepted to EECS @ Berkeley. There are two reasons for me to have applied EECS not CS:
1. for CS you get a B.A degree, for EECS you get a B.S degree. I thought B.S sounds better than B.A
2. One of Berkeley representatives told me CS major requires more social science/humanity classes than EECS major. I'm not a fan of social science/humanity stuff.

But I think the job opportunities/prestige for both majors should be about the same.
