LAC financial award, is it possible for me to still attend?

actually I was looking at some other posts regarding equity, and someone posted that Whitman doesn’t take equity into consideration, but I’m not sure as why the EFC increased so much, since everything that was in the CSS was basically the same on the FAFSA.

My parent’s gross income is 34,402.

and currently, I am leaning towards the state school, because I would only be 8,000 in debt by the time I graduate probably, and I still have to go to grad school. But the reason as to why I am so drawn to Whitman is because of the small class size, personality of the students, and the liberal arts education.
