Lack of extracurricular activities

Hi, I am an international student and a junior in high school.
I'm starting to get worried about my lack of extracurricular activities.
I have been doing art for a long time (cuz I love it <3) and became a president in a math club but it's quite typical for an asian student. I did some volunteering for disabled children but was irregular.
So..now I don't know what to write on the application. What should I do?
& Can i include leisure activities like snowboarding?

When you say application, are you applying senior year for Fall of 2015? Or this year for Fall of 2014? If you’re applying fro 2015 you can always join clubs, run for student gov’t, and even volunteer at church or the equivalent. I’m from the US so I’m not sure exactly how it works for International (sorry!). Also, in your personal statement (colleges usually ask for that) you can always explain your love for art and snowboarding (MAKE SURE TO MAKE IT INTERESTING AND STAND OUT, THOUGH!!) Good luck with applications and I hope you get accepted to where you want to go!

@hurdle1996 yes I meant the college extracurricular activities on the application paper. Thanks

Okay, so when putting down your activities, stick to the organized things like art, volunteer, etc. and I’m pretty sure there is an interests section. If not you can always tell them about yourself in your personal statement you have to write. I hope this as at least a little bit of help!

Colleges aren’t interested in your having tons of EC’s. However, they want to see commitment (you’ve been doing one or two EC’s for a long time) and achievement/performance (you’ve had exhibit, won prizes, were part of competitions, etc.) You can also lear something on your own.
