Hey guys, so I am in sort of a complicated situation. I am currently being recruited to several division 1 and top Division 3 lacrosse program. Right now my tops are Amherst and Yale, with Brown, Harvard and Dartmouth close behind. Now with lacrosse I can be 100% sure I will get into the school with a verbal commitment. Now my dilemma is, I am a great student as well. Do I commit and not risk admissions? The downside is I have to play lacrosse. Or do I take my chances at other schools with my application? Its sort of hard to turn down Amherst or Yale, but I really would love to look at other schools. Here is a brief summary of me. I am currently a junior at a very competitive high school in Colorado.

GPA: Unweighted: 3.9

Predicted ACT after tutoring practice tests: 32-34 range

Predicted SAT: 2000-2200

Course Selection:
I have taken all honors courses in every subject since Freshman year. Sophomore year I took all honors and AP World History. This year I am in AP US History and AP English Language and Composition, the maximum number of AP courses I can take. The rest are honors. Next year I can take up to 6 AP courses.

Extracurriculars:
-1 of 3 Sophomores to make varsity lacrosse team, we were state runners up last year and are predicted to win this year. Selected to several All-Colorado Club teams.
-National Honors Society
-French Honors Society (Predicted President next year)
-Investment/Business Club
-Work experience at Little Hospital Offices. Worked filing, answering phones, creating templates.
-Internship with a highly respected business law firm
-Planning to attend a business leadership course in NYC this summer
-Over 60 hours of service at Holm Elementary
-Over 60 hours of service at Volunteers of America
-20 hours of tutoring for inner city basketball program. Selected to play for the basketball club team and travel to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. I was chosen to tutor the younger children as well.

If I did not play lacrosse I would most likely apply to these schools:
Boston College
Vanderbilt (Dad attended for both Undergrad and Grad. Won Biomedical engineering award there)
USC
UCLA
UC Berkeley
Michigan Ann Arbor
Georgetown
Northwestern

What do you all think my chances would be at these schools? I am not completely sure I would like to play lacrosse in college. What do you think I could do to improve my application as well? My grades are all A's right now, so my unweighted should go up somewhat. Just looking for a little advice here, in a tough spot.
