LACs that give lots of merit aid?

D doesn't qualify for any need-based aid. Can only spend $15,000 on tuition, rm and board.

Just checking to see what suggestions come up. I have a little list of 5 public u's that are ok in the sciences that each will only cost $15,000 for tuition, rm and board.

I had thought we were done with the college search, but I just read on CC that Grinnell gives lots of merit awards. I didn't know that.

Have I prematurely closed the list? Are there other LACs that give lots of merit based awards? The major is in chemistry and a writing minor, GPA 3.7 so far, rising senior, SAT 2200, ACT 30, will retake both after studying. Minimal EC's, which is why I didn't seriously consider any LACs.

The LACs that would give her merit-based aid are probably not as good as your state's flagship public university. What state do you live in?
