Lafayette Accepted International Students Forum

@wangonce Do you mean we have a special online school store or just general websites like Amazon?

what were ur stats who were accepted???

The school store doesn’t have comforters, beddings and stuff. Besides, its a huge rip off. Better not buy anything from the school store. When you arrive on campus, ISA will provide you with temporary sheets, pillows, blankets, etc until you buy your own (ISA will take you to the supermarket). After you get your own stuff, you return the ISA stuff. You don’t have to worry much.

That’s very helpful! Thank you! :)

Is there already a schedule for the International Orientation. Son is dual citizen but has lived most of his life in Switzerland. Will he be considered International?

Gva Mom,

For the purposes of orientation, students with international citizenship are not considered international students unless the student resides abroad currently. Do you guys still live in Switzerland?

ISA might be taking a few US resident students (international citizenship). We did that last year and it worked out well. It’s worth contacting the International Student Adviser.

Yes we still live in Switzerland. By the way does it make a difference if he is a transfer student?

Nope. It’s still fine. Looking forward to seeing him in August (I’ll be part of the team organizing the International Orientation!!)

Hey guys !! congratulations to all of you that are accepted. !!
I am still in High school and I will definately apply at Lafayette !! So I was wondering how is life for you guys there ???

Hey guys. Im currently doing Mechanical engineering from EME NUST. I got a 3.50 cgpa in my first year. Now i want to apply to the US as an international transfer student. Im thinking Lafayette. Also, id need loads of financial aid if im to go. I havent given the SAT 1 but i did give SAT 2 and got 2300 in it. Also, im a great guitar player and a great singer aswell and I have a few ECs. Do you guys think I have a shot? And if so, which colleges should i apply to other than Lafayette if i want admission AND fin aid?

Lafayette rarely accepts international transfer students who need FA.

How bad are my chances?

For all of those who are accepted, what was your SAT score, TOEFL score and financial aid package? I just wanna apply there next year.
